Antigua’s been hosting world-class sailing events for over 50 years. Our safe harbours and professional marinas combine with our dazzling seascapes and reliable trade winds to ensure we remain a firm fixture on the international racing calendar. And this year, our yachting season gets off to a winning start with the RORC Caribbean 600...
ROYAL OCEAN RACING CLUB CARIBBEAN 600
Start Date 24 February 2020
Now celebrating its 12th year, the RORC Caribbean 600 is a fast and exhilarating race that ranks high on the bucket list of any serious offshore sailor. Starting and finishing in Antigua, the challenging 600-mile course uses eleven Eastern Caribbean islands as turning marks. Anguilla, Guadeloupe, and St Kitts and Nevis all feature. With such a long course, the finishing times can vary by days, although the Multihull Race Record is an elapsed time of 1 day, 6 hours, 49 minutes set by 'Maserati Multi 70' in 2019. The last RORC Caribbean 600 attracted 76 teams from 21 countries. The Opening and Closing Parties are both hosted by the Antigua Yacht Club in historic English Harbour.
